Experts from Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of Russian Academy of Sciences Visit JSUT






March 18th, Prof. Ivanov Vladimir, Dean of Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry of Russian Academy of Sciences and the delegation visited JSUT. Chancellor Wang Jianhua, President Zhu Linsheng, Vice President Bei Shaoyi and leaders of Personnel Department, School of Chemical&Environment Engineering and International Cooperation&Exchange Office met with the visiting experts.

Zhu Linsheng met with the guests of Russian Academy of Sciences at Conference Room Ⅲ, Zhengde Building. Two parties discussed on promoting the cooperation on teaching and scientific research and signed an academic cooperation agreement.

Bei Shaoyi and leaders of relevant departments and schools discussed with the visiting guests at Conference Room , Zhengde Building. Bei conveyed welcome to the guests, introduced the basic information of JSUT on teaching, scientific research and university-enterprise cooperation and wishes to achieve pragmatic cooperation and enhance the strength and level of JSUT in scientific research. Prof. Ivanov Vladimir, on behalf of the Institute, extended gratitude to JSUT for the warm reception, then he introduced the history of development and recent situation of the Institute and wishes to develop scientific research and cooperation on chemistry, materials and etc. Prof. Yulia Gorbunova briefed theinternational exchange&cooperation situationof different science foundationsin Russia and Institute of General and Inorganic Chemistry. Two presented parties had a deep discussion on jointly establishing laboratories, applying scientific and research programs, employing foreign experts and jointly cultivating graduates and etc. After the meeting, Bei appointed letter of JSUT visiting professors to the 3 experts from Russian Academy of Sciences.

During the visit, Prof. Ivanov Vladimir, Prof. Konstantin Zhizhin and Prof. Yulia Gorbunova gave an academic lecture to JSUT teachers and students in the field of chemistry and materials respectively. The delegation also visited School of Materials Engineering, School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering, School of Chemical&Environmental Engineering and China-Canada Institute for Advanced Surface&Interface Science and Engineering, and had a discussion with teachers and students in School of Chemical&Environmental Engineering.
