Recently, invited by the two universities in Macau, JSUT Vice President Chen Guangshu leading a delegation to visit City University of Macau and Macau University of Science and Technology. Relevant personnel from School of Computer Engineering, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Business, Department of Vocational Education, and Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office participated in the visit and exchange activities.
Zhou Wanlei, Vice President of City University of Macau, extended a warm welcome to Chen Guangshu and JSUT delegation. He introduced the university's development history, disciplinary characteristics, achievements in recent years and future development directions. Zhou said that the two universities have achieved remarkable results in cooperation in recent years and hoped for the future in-depth exchanges and cooperation. Chen expressed his gratitude to City University of Macau for the warm reception, and introduced the characteristics of JSUT vocational education and the construction of new campuses. He hoped that the cooperation between the two universities would be further promoted and expanded on the existing basis. At the meeting, the two sides discussed the implementation of comprehensive cooperation in business, education, humanities and social sciences, data science and other disciplines. Chen hoped to give a full play to the advantages of the two universities and achieve a win-win cooperation in the field. After the meeting, the delegation also visited the campus of the City University of Macau and the university’s History Museum.
The JSUT delegation also visited the Macau University of Science and Technology, and communicated with the Vice President Pang Chuan and heads of School of Science and Technology, School of Business, the Department of Science and Technology, School of Hotel and Tourism Management, and Graduate School on teachers and students exchanges, vocational education and scientific research cooperation. The both sides had a deep discussion on the exchange of students from Macau University of Science and Technology, cooperation in postgraduate training courses, and joint training of vocational teachers, and reached preliminary cooperation intentions.
During the stay in Macau, JSUT delegation also communicated with the dean of the Department of Computer Science of Macau Polytechnic Institute on cooperation in academic conferences. The delegation also visited the JSUT teachers and graduate students who are studying for doctoral degree in Macau.
