Invited by City University of Macau and Macao Polytechnic University, JSUT delegation, led by Tang Jianshi, deputy secretary of the university’s CPC committee, visited the two universities recently.
Zhou Wanlei, Vice President of City University of Macau, warmly welcomed JSUT delegation. He introduced the university’s development history and advantageous disciplines, and expressed the potentials on cooperation between the two universities, hoping to further strengthen exchanges and achieved win-win cooperation. Tang Jianshi expressed thanks to the City University of Macau for the warm reception, and briefly introduced the general situation, faculty, discipline construction, talent training of JSUT. He said that City University of Macau is a friendly cooperative partner of JSUT. In recent years, the cooperation between the two universities has yielded fruitful results. He hoped to deepen the cooperation on the original basis by taking the opportunity of the official establishment of the University Alliance of Jiangsu, Hong Kong and Macao as both universities are members of the alliance, and gave full play to the advantages and served the national development strategy. At the meeting, the two sides also had discussions on the joint training of undergraduate students in tourism management, art design, finance, and scientific research and teachers' further education.
JSUT delegation also visited Macao Polytechnic University. JSUT delegation visited the campus, gymnasium and library of the university. At the meeting, the delegation held discussions and exchanges with Li Yanlian, Vice President of Macao Polytechnic University, and leaders of school of humanities and social sciences, arts, libraries, applied sciences, student affairs offices and other departments on students and teachers’ education, scientific and technological cooperation. Both sides agreed that the two universities have many similar disciplines and in the future would further strengthen exchanges and communication, and established a long-term and stable cooperation mechanism to promote the development of the two universities.
During their stay in Macao, the delegation also visited JSUT teachers who was studying for a doctorate in Macao.
