School of Resources and Environmental Engineering was established in 2022, formerly known as the School of Chemical and Environmental Engineering (2008). There are currently three undergraduate majors, including Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, and Resource Recycling Science and Engineering. The major of Environmental Engineering major was elected as a national first-class undergraduate major construction site and a Jiangsu Province university brand major construction project; Resource Recycling Science Engineering is elected as a key professional category in Jiangsu Province during the 12th Five Year Plan period. In 2011, it was approved as a pilot unit for cultivating master's degree students in the field of environmental engineering under the Service to National Special Needs Talent Training Project. It has admitted 11 consecutive master's students and has trained more than 300 master's students. In 2021, it was approved as a master's degree authorization unit for the major of Resources and Environment. It cooprtated with Merseburg University of Applied Sciences on Environmental Engineering major for 18 years with a dual degree undergraduate program (both Chinese and foreign) by 3+1.5 joint training model and approximately 30 students are admitted each year. The school currently has 695 undergraduate students, 158 master's students, and 132 undergraduate students in the Sino-German cooperative education program.
