History of JSUT


        As the predecessor of Jiangsu University of Technology, Changzhou Vocational Normal College was founded in August 1984 and started student enrolment in September 1985. It was renamed as Changzhou Technical Normal College in December 1987 upon approval by the former State Education Commission and started to enroll undergraduate students in September 1988. Changzhou Economic & Managerial Staff College was merged into the college in August 2001. Changzhou Technical Normal College was renamed as Jiangsu Technical Normal College in August 2002 upon approval by the Ministry of Education, and Changzhou Accounting College of Jiangsu Province was merged into the college in December 2004. Jiangsu Technical Normal College started to enroll postgraduate students for Master's degree in September 2012 and was renamed as Jiangsu University of Technology in November 2012 upon approval by the Ministry of Education.
