Vice President Leading a Delegation Visits Israel

  

  Recently, Vice President Jiang Xinya led a delegation to visit Jiangsu Innovation Center, Azrieli Institute of Engineering, and Afeka Academic College of Engineering in Israel, with relevant personnel from JSUT accompanied.

  At the Jiangsu Innovation Center in Israel, the diredtor Wang Yang introduced the development process and main business functions of the center, and both sides held exchanges and discussions on deepening cooperation. Jiang Xinya stated that the center has played a crucial role as an offshore innovation platform for the park. She hoped to continue to take the respective resource advantages of the park and JSUT to further promote Sino-Israel cooperation in fields such as talent cultivation, technological innovation, and cultural exchange, and made greater contributions to the implementation of Changzhou’s “532” strategy and the construction of the “New Energy Capital”.

  At Azrieli Institute of Engineering, President Rosa Azhari and Vice President Gidi Etzion warmly received the JSUT delegation. Rosa Azhari introduced the characteristics of the engineering majors, hoping that the two sides can promote student visits and teacher teaching and research exchanges. Jiang Xinya expressed gratitude for the warm reception and briefly introduced the basic situation on education and international cooperation of JSUT, and looked forward to the cooperation between both sides to promote the implementation of cooperation projects as soon as possible. Gidi Etzion introduced the basic situation of secondary colleges, faculties, and enterprises, hoping to further promote international cooperation in innovative education. After the meeting, Jiang Xinya and Rosa Azhari signed a memorandum of cooperation between the two sides. The delegation also visited the campus and laboratory.

  AtAfeka Academic College of Engineering, Alon Barnea, Vice President of Development and Strategic Department and related personnels participated in the meeting. Alon Barnea introduced the college’s educational guidelines for ‘Doing what the world needs’, as well as the establishment of cross disciplinary and integrated majors. Both sides conducted exchanges on students’ practical and innovative exchanges, and cooperation in the field of materials, and teacher exchanges.

  This visit to Israel has promoted in-depth cooperation between JSUT and the Jiangsu Innovation Center in Israel, deepened the understanding of Israel’s innovative education system, and will further promote the cooperation between JSUT and Israel in wider and deeper fields.
