Automobile Service Engineering
The Automobile Service Engineering Major of Jiangsu University of Technology is the pilot project for integrated reform of majors in the 12th Five Year Plan by the Ministry of Education, brand major of Jiangsu Province (Class A) and key major of Jiangsu Province.
With the basic quality of application-oriented field engineer in the automobile service industry as the objective, this major aims at training high-level application-oriented engineering talents with continuous learning ability, innovation potential and international perspective who master solid specialized theoretical and practice knowledge in automobile service engineering, have the integrated competence in technology, business operation and service, acquire the capability to solve complicated engineering problems and can be engaged in related posts such as automobile inspection, test and fault diagnosis, automobile marketing, automobile evaluation and insurance claim settlement, etc.
This major mainly studies the theoretical and practice knowledge in fundamentals of mechanical design, automotive electronics technology, automobile structure and principles, automobile theory, automobile inspection and diagnosis technology, automobile control theory and technology, automobile testing technology, automobile evaluation and insurance claim settlement, etc.
This major has cooperated with F+U Sachsen Vocational Training College of Germany to jointly train internationally leading high-level specializedtalents in the field of automobile.

This major mainly studies the digitalized design courses such as automobile structure, automobile theory, automobile design, automobile manufacturing crafts, principles of internal combustion engine, modern design approach of automobile, optimized design of automobile, engineering software, new energy automobile principles and structure, etc. and design courses regarding automobile electronic control system such as electrical engineering and electronic technology, principles of single chip microcomputer, fundamentals of control technology, automobile computer control technology, automobile electrical appliances and electronics control technology, simulation of automobile control system, automobile circuits CAD, new energy automobile control, etc.
This major has cooperated with (The Recruitment Program of Global Experts) Changzhou New Energy Vehicles Research Academy, established the College of New Energy Automobiles and applied the model of industry-education integration and university-enterprise cooperation to jointly cultivate talents in the fields of new energy automobile design and electronic control system development.
Traffic & Transportation
Traffic & Transportation Major of Jiangsu University of Technology is a new-type undergraduate major established to meet the talent demand for urban rail transit in Yangtze River delta area and for rail transit industry in Changzhou City.
The Traffic & Transportation Major follows the talent demand in rail transit industry and regards basic quality training of application-oriented technical engineer in rail transit field as objective to train field engineers with strong engineering practice capability who can be engaged in equipment application, maintenance and management and traffic operation management etc. in urban rail transit stations, or high-quality application-oriented specialized talents who can be engaged in production, manufacturing, testing, management of vehicle parts and components as well as other works in manufacturers of rail transit vehicles.
This major mainly studies the theoretical and practice knowledge in fundamentals of mechanical design, urban rail transit vehicle structure, equipment of multiple units train, urban rail transit equipment system, signal and communication system of urban rail transit, traction and power supply technology of urban rail transit, operation, organization and management of urban rail transit, etc.
Introduction of laboratory
The central laboratory of the College of Automobile & Traffic Engineering covers a total construction area of about 16,000m2, which consists of 21 sub-laboratories, including laboratory of new energy automobile principles and performance test, laboratory of rail transit, laboratory of automobile engine management system, laboratory of automobile electrical appliances, laboratory of electrical control of automobile chassis, laboratory of automobile performance test, laboratory of automotive automatic transmissions, laboratory of finished automobile fault diagnosis, laboratory of automobile electronic development, innovation laboratory for university students.
The laboratory has 1,579 sets of instruments and equipment in total with a total value of RMB 23.013 million, including over 30 sets with unit price over RMB 100,000. There are 12 full-time experimenters at present, including 4 senior experimentalists and 8 experimentalists. The college establishes multiple disciplinary, innovative and practice platforms, such as research center of scrapped automobile green disassembly and re-manufacturing engineering technology of Jiangsu Province, research center of manufacturing and engineering technology for automobile drive system parts of Jiangsu Province, research center of automobile pipe assembly engineering technology of Jiangsu Province, key laboratory of new energy automobile control and application engineering of Changzhou City, public technical service platform for engineering ****ysis and detection of automobile parts defects of Changzhou City, etc.
