Specialties and Deciplines

    The College of Humanities has 4 undergraduate majors: Chinese Language & Literature, Secretarial Science, Tourism Management and Hotel Management.

Chinese Language & Literature Major was established in 2005, and has 2 orientations: Chinese normal education and copy-writing planning. It mainly trains middle and primary school teachers and high-level application-oriented inter-disciplinary specialized talents competent in copy-writing planning and public relations practice.  

Secretarial Science Major was independently established in 2013. This major mainly trains high-level application-oriented secretary talents with management knowledge and specialized skills who meet the requirements of foreign-invested enterprises, private enterprises, government organs and other enterprises and public institutions, master basic principle and knowledge of secretary, and have good secretarial professional competence and working skills.

Tourism Management Major started students enrolment in 2009. This major adheres to the idea of open university management and operation, actively explores innovative practice of specialized tourism management talents and establishes university-enterprise training center together with Changzhou Guangda International Travel Agency to fully make use of the talent development function of the tourism training center and help students combine learning and practice together.

Hotel Management Major was established in 2009, and covers the fields of hotel management, exhibition management, food and nutrition science, etc.


Introduction of laboratory

    The College of Humanities establishes on-campus training sites including office automation training room, tea art training room, travel agency simulation training room, Lanyuan Hotel training base, physique training room, etc., and also establishes off-campus internship and training bases together with Changzhou Municipal Archives, Changzhou Municipal Library, Qingtan Middle School, Niutang Middle School, Changzhou New Weekly Newspaper Office, Guangda International Travel Agency, China Dinosaur Park, World Joyland, Shangri-La Hotel, Sheraton Hotel, Grand Metropark Hotel, etc. On-campus training rooms mainly provide to students the training for use of office automation equipment, OFFICE documents management, tea art skills, simulation of travel agency environment and simulated hotel operation, and off-campus internship bases mainly provide in-post internship and training. By combining on and off-campus practice together, students can thoroughly know and understand post demands and duties and enhance the idea of theory-practice integration. It can improve the students' interest in their majors, achieve the seamless connection between university and enterprise and develop the students' employability.
